Poses a question, though - where does innovation & comfort end, and where

Perhaps this is the typical view of a sailor. Personally, I think that the
autohelms and NavSats are out of this world already - it is fantastic to 
hink
of what they could do in the future. Who knows, maybe even ILS beams like on
aircraft to guide boats through difficult channels into the harbour, avoiding
rocks etc.
