AFAIK, on the Pi3 the "experimental GL driver" is disabled by default.
No clue on the Pi4, but AFAIK the Pi4 had a different GPU from the Pi3.

Well, you could always try FreeBSD 8-) Nothing for the Pi1, alas.

From my own experience server performance is fine, GUI is not yet satisfactory.
Thus my interest in Raspbian.
