Hi Gary,

LH> the file areas I have. I did that, but it did
 LH> not create the file
 LH> so I can't use the program

GG> Then you've missed something in your setup. Go back and review the
GG> instrutions for using Allfix for the first time, and follow them again.

I did that the first time.

LH> I don't have allfix doing anything with my files.

GG> Then it's kind of a waste to use it, since that's it's
 GG> main purpose. There
GG> are allfile listers all over the place, so you don't
GG> need it for that. There
GG> may also be programs that'll issue replies to "file
 GG> find" type requests too.

I don't feel that it is a waste if it does what I want it for. The
reason I don't have it working with my files is that I don't carry any file
echos and I don't have a large file library. I don't have a large
harddrive to handle lots of files, so I fix the files.bbs by hand.

GG> I really like Allfix (I'm even a beta team member), but I can't recommend
GG> someone buy it if they're not going to really use it.
GG> (And if you -do- use
GG> it, you -should- pay for it.)

GG> You should look around for replacements for these functions.

I don't know of any other program that will do the filefind thing as we
have to address it to allfix. So far, the other programs to do allfiles
listings have not be satisfactory for my opinion.
If I can get the program to work, I would pay for it.

    TTYL
       Linda
