subject: USR 14.4 off hook command

  Okay, here's the problem...
A SysOp of a BBS I am on has a USR 14.4 modem (thats all I know about it)
and the command ATH1 to take the modem off the hook; according to them,
will not work correctly... Rather, it will not work at all...
So when they are using the computer and someone tries to call in, it will
ring and ring because they can't get the modem off hook. Is there an
alternate command other than the plain old ATH1 to tell the modem to pick
  up the line?
  Thanks in advance...
