FYI re: telnetting to Doc's Place BBS

Beginning this past Sunday evening I have not been able to telnet
to Doc's Place BBS using the usual host name of BBS.DOCSPLACE.ORG.
On Sunday I assumed he was performing maintenance, then yesterday
I wasn't on the computer at all. Tonight I still couldn't connect
so went to his website to see if I could find any info. While at
the website I clicked on the Telnet link to see what would happen.
Lo and behold my telnet app connected just fine and I downloaded
a qwk packet containing three days worth of messages. That's when
I noticed the telnet host/IP name had changed to DOCSPLACE.TZO.COM.

He has posted a newsletter dated 4/12 in which he says he is
working on some changes to be implemented sometime next month that
affect how people will be able to connect. (Looks like the changes
are being implemented ahead of schedule.) In the meantime those of
you who telnet to Docsplace but are having to get your "FIDO fix"
from an alternate source may want to try the new name.
