Hmmm...  Maybe you should ask him if he's been a contributor to the
Fidonet MEMORIES echo.... when he looks at you blankly, then you explain
that you've known an (apparently) totally different Art Tait...  :)  He
could be about the right age, though...  :)

Being that he's in VB, where my Tait ancestors lived for a few
generations, he's apt to be a cousin of mine, though...  Ask him if he's
descended from George Tait and sons who had the seed company in Norfolk
back in the later 1800's...  George married Sarah RP Lesesne, their son
James Cowan Tait was my grandmother's father.... Their other sons were
Robert and William....
