I don't have a fix, but I can tell you that I don't have the problem.  When 
I disconnect from a BBS, my modem hangs up the phone line.  I didn't set 
anything up special, I'm pretty using the defaults that came with QM95.  It 
could be your modem's init string...what happens if you use Win95's 
Hyperterm program?
