   Telix assumes the port hw (real or virtual) is in a certain state, and 
usually hangs if its not as expected.  Start Telix from a batch file so you 
can use MODE to set up the port first:
   Mode Com2,9600,N,8,1,OCTS=Off,RTS=Off,ODSR=Off,IDSR=Off,Buffer=On
