I did check a PDR, and other drug books. They stated that those with mental
disturbances may self-medicate themselves into toxicity, and they used terms
like habituation, but addiction was not mentioned at all.
As I've said before, if Ritalin were addictive then people wouldn't have so
much trouble remembering to take it. When have you ever heard of an
alcoholic, heroin addict, or smoker forgetting to dose themselves?
