I am having a lot of trouble getting five new win95 workstations to run
a DOS application. I constantly get "Incorrect MS-DOS version" and
after a trying everything else I figured out it was the login script.
We have a mix of Win3.1 and Win95 workstations running on a Novell 4.1
network. In the login script for the Win95 machines the second search
mapping is for OS and Os version, then Command.com. Apparently it is
mapping the command.com to the Y drive, a mirror of primary drive F. On
the F (and Y) drive there is a series of directories for each DOS
version and the correct command.com for each. I can temprarily reset
the COMSPEC to the local command.com and the DOS program runs without a
hitch, but that is reset everytime the DOS window is closed.

I would really prefer to have the command.com used from the local
machine therefore, whatever happens it is correct. Or, should I set up
individual login scripts for each Win95 machine and have it's own
command.com on the server and use that...if so, how do I make sure it
doesn't search to the other command.com's? I really need to clear this
up so that I can get these five employees back to work!

Thanks,
