Well, if you read the intro (or was it the epilogue) to the first or
second book in the Dark Tower series (gosh, I'm being REALLY vague
here), he said he's been working on the series for many years, and, with
the way he's got it planned, he'll be something like 800 years old by
the time the series is truly finished, if he keeps writing to his
previous schedule on this series.  Personally, I wish he would devote a
great amount of time to the series, but I'm willing to wait if the extra
time will make the story better, and I've pretty much assumed I'll never
read the end of it.  C'est la vie, non?
