I'm assuming you are related to the Richard STOUT line from Monmouth Co.
If so, from which child are you descended ?
I am trying to find the parents of a Benjamin Joseph STOUT, born c.1768.
Unfortunately, I do not know where he was born. However, when he
married in Louisiana, it listed his age and his parents were named Peter
STOUT and Marie Mollon (MULLIN?). It also stated that he was "born of
and educated by Quakers".
Benjamin STOUT Jr., the son of Benjamin STOUT and grandson of Richard
STOUT, m. Elizabeth LEWIS in 1714/1715. They had at least two sons,
Peter STOUT and Emmanuel STOUT. I have not been able to find any more
information on this Peter STOUT as to if he survived to adulthood and
married and had children or not. Emmanuel STOUT , however, had at least
7 children, one of which was also named Peter STOUT. Again, I have no
more information on this Peter. All of the above information comes from
the "Historical and Genealogical Miscellany, Vol.4" which I found in the
LDS library in Salt Lake.
My question to you is do you have any information on either of these
Peter STOUT's and if not, can you give me any guidance as to where more
information might be found on the later generations of this family.
Any help would be most gratefully accepted.
