ST> But it is my misfortune too...;-) I love my babies and I'm
ST> sure that the unusual weather we are having this summer is as
ST> uncomfortable for them as for us...;-)
DE> I know that Balth is not enjoying it, she tells me all about it. Or
DE> rather she bites me all about it. when she doesn't liek domwthing she
DE> gets into a bitey mood, and you just have to get rid of what is
DE> offending her.
Do you give her baths??? If she doesn't like to take her own
bath did you try spraying her??? Do you have air condtioning??
If she is warm and uncomfortable spraying her is what she
wants...Scoobie loves to be sprayed...Princess doesn't but is
learning to...she never did...but when I held her under the
faucet...she decided that Scoobie must know something she
didn't...and is more receptive now...;-)
ST> OOoh...I have my cage sitting on a stand...not hanging...and
ST> the plastic thing can't move....if you have another place that
ST> wouldn't be as difficult to clean maybe that would be your
ST> answer...;-)
DE> I'm thinking about moving her into a different room and keeping her
DE> there, it;s a good thought.
As long as she will have the same amount contact with you it
shouldn't be a problem...but don't stick her where she won't have
contact with anyone...;-)
ST> She decided to exercise her wings when I had her out earlier
ST> tonight....right on my shoulder...I turned and looked at her
ST> and said whachdoing and she quit...;-) Poor Scoobie can't do it
ST> without taking off....;-)
DE> WEll Balth can, and she's ruined some shirts tht way, or she does, if
DE> I dont kepp those talons trimmed.
He hehe...well they are both over due for trimming...the breeder
is going to make a house call this week and I'm definately going
to learn how to trim their wings...after the near fatal accident
last week...I'm not going to let them fly anymore...;-)
I know it isn't safe for me to trim their nails...my eyes aren't
what they use to be...but I don't think I'll have a problem with
the wings...;-)
ST> OOOh...I know how many they have...I'm saving them for a friend
ST> that wants them for crafts...and another one tha wants them for
ST> fly fishing...;-)
DE> I was kind of amazed that there weren't as many as I was expecting.
DE> But then again when a bird is molting the whole HOUSE seems to be
DE> covered with feathers
He heh e...it does seem like more than it really is...but they
are beautiful after a molt...Princess is only 5 months old and
her new feathers seem much brighter than before...she is a lutino
and beautiful...;-) Scoobie is a grey and he is pretty too...;-)
... If a 500lb parrot wants a cracker, give it one!
