Hali Albert Alcoceba !
AA>> Do you see it as fair that I had to work a full day while you sat

KD> Fair against whom ? I don't really care if you, for example, buy
KD> something a hundred times above the market price. This is your

AA> Not so. We are talking about YOU stealing here.
So, it's not fair against who ? Against you, against the goverment, or who ?
KD> Maybe not even the author, rahter the distributor, because
KD> the authors usually don't receive money after each sold copy.
AA> Usually they do. Most receive royalties on a per copy sold basis.
I think not, but I can't privide proof or statistics, so forget it.
AA> To put it no your words: The author doesn't care if your economy is
AA> so stuffed that your GDP and salaries are so low.
It's not the author who should care, rather the distributor.
AA> It always comes down to the same thing: If you can't afford it then
AA> do with out!
Well, do that if you want to, I won't. Certainly, I won't steal anything
ike
a TV that someone will miss if I stole it. But I will pirate software until:
- I have enough money to buy it or
- there will be so strict punishments that it wouldn't worth it or
- I'm convinced that the author needs the money more than I do
KD> On the other hand, if I chosed to buy the stuff, I should have worked
KD> for about a week for exactly the same program. Do you consider this
KD> fair ?
You forgot to answer this question.
I gotta get some sleep...
Daniel
... You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought.
