CRC errors are reported by the file transfer protocol (like Zmodem) and are 
the result of errors between your modem and your PC - normally because you're 
using an unbuffered UART like a 16450.  You should be using a buffered UART 
(like a 16550).
"It won't upload" doesn't say much.  What happens when you attempt an upload?
