Hello Mike and listers,
While they may not do it as standard operating proceedure some of our own
guide dog schools have trained dogs to work on aperson's right sided to
allow blind persons with additional disabilities such as a missing left
hand or savier arthritis on their left side touse a guide dog.  I know
that SeeingEye has trained a few and I think that Guide Dogs of the
Desert, and Guide Dogs of America have also trained some of these dogs
too.
