At the stable there's a Appy mare that colic when she comes into heat.. it's
real regular and expected.

Been through to many colics.. the worst was still Rose that Quarter mare down
in OC.. 20 hrs start to finish and it was really ugly.

Try some Vit C.. it tends to loosen up some horses.. I've regulated CJ that
way when I knew she wasn't drinking enough water recently in a heat wave..
Her Poop output was down.. so I mildly oiled her (mineral mixed with A&M) and
then put her back on C.. worked like a champ.
