First lemme ask, If I stop smoking, will she buy me a gun ??? :) ok, the
main differences are
a) DAO is just that, after firing, the hammer comes back to rest on the
slide, doesn't stay cocked thus needing a heavier trigger pull to
touch off the next round..
b) the Decocker model of the Ruger is SA/DA but no safety. All it does
is return the hammer back to the slide, but has no true safety that
disconnects the trigger
c) Ruger alsom makes that pistol in the "regular" safety version.. Had
one, kinda bulky but a very swwet reliable weapon
If you have any children in the house I'd suggest the full safety model
(Goes unsaid to keep ammo and pistol seperate) The main advantage to the
DAO is with the heavier trigger pull it takes a contious thought to
touch off rounds...
Hope this helps...
Brian..
