Done that.  The replacement arrived today.  I opted to swap for an older 
model V34 28800 data/fax.  This one is rockwell based so maybe it will 
be friendlier to the maestro's I am always calling.  It will go in 
this afternoon and get a rev tonight :) 
 
Datalink were quite good about it. swapped it no questions asked, 
although they were curious that I didn't want to swap it for another 
33600 but chose the 28800 instead.  Ah such is life.
