As for "giving" an award .. I don't know about that ...
I personally feel that we as leaders should not "go after" the knots on
our uniforms .. Yes, if you are awarded one, then you should wear it..
but to go after one ( like a merit badge ) really leaves me cold ..
This topic is being discussed at length on Prodigy right now ..
and the topic is called "big shot leaders" ..
The only knots that I wear are for the Silver Beaver and the Order of
Merit .. All the others ( and I have a number that I can wear ) are only
on one uniform .. I guess we all have just one shirt that has
"everything" on it ..
It's just that sometimes "big shot leaders" turn me off.. and have a
tend to turn off the kids also ..
