That too except it only needs to come into play if and when the curmudeon
part fails.  

Probably ESPECIALLY if and when the curmudeon part fails now that I think about it.

no matter if the potential part fails.

That is a tough call.  I think I'd rather not consider any future and let
what happens happen when it needs to happen.  How about you?
