you cannot fix corrupted bases... not with FM, anyway... not and keep all
messages... i had a tool that i wrote that allowed corruption to be fixed but
it was extremely manual and required that you adjust the offsets of the fields
and the pointer to the message body... it could easily fix corrupted messages
but with a loss of data if it wasn't in the correct place... i don't even know
where that tool is as it was just so much easier to bite the bullet and start
the message base(s) over once new binaries came around... IIRC, you joined the
FD beta team after JAM was introduced so you missed a lot of the fun we had
testing the format at that time... as far as i recall, you were also the last
FD beta member to join the team... good times those day... good times :)
