I use Verdana as my default font, maybe that has something to do with it.

btw, Safari on my MacMini takes about a second to zoom.

Opera takes about 4 seconds on the MacMini.  It's Opera's first release of
an Intel binary.

MacMini: Intel Core Duo 1.83GHz, 2GB memory.
