We had a huge dump of snow at the end of Nov which was really early for
this part of the world, or at least at the lower elevations.  Since I've
been living here most years have had little to no snow and when there are
big dumps it hasn't come any sooner then late Dec.  This one was HUGE and
really early.  It took over a week to melt due to colder then normal temps.
 At the moment we are hovering around average (~6-10C) for this time of
year.  Lots of rain though which isn't that unusual.  Last night's wind
storm passed us by thank goodness but we got a dump of rain from it.
