Why am I not surprised you'd say that...?  :)   I wouldn't mind finding
out that it was there for real... My great-great-grands were German, but
lived right on the border with Poland, so that's why I make my surmise. 
But I know nothing further back than them, on that line.  Their son,
along with most of his sisters w/their husbands, came to America just
before or about 1900.  He was a cabinetmaker.
