     Since I wrote that, someone gave me the solution
to finding the wayward-dated entry: (Q for dos, v8) put
the cursor on the C box of any uncleared transaction
and hit Alt-z.  All uncleared transactions are listed
and it's easy to find the one you want (if it's 12
screens up, it'll probably be the first one!)
