Just a quick note to let you know that I've been
off-line due to being in the hospital for the past
2 weeks.  Thankfully I am home now.
Originally I went in with abdominal pain. The CT
scan showed fluid in my abdomin but they had no
idea where it had come from.  By the time they got
me off my coumadin (a blood thinner) and could do
testing and withdraw the fluid I was feeling better
and the fluid no longer showed up on the CT scan.
What did show up was a cist on my overy near the
bowell wall.
I went home that first Saturday and was supposed to
contact my GYN. But I was back in the hopsital that
evening due to returning symptoms.  Surgery was done
on Tuesday. The scheduled 1/2 to hour surgery turned
into 4 hours. They removed both ovaries and the cyst and
spent the rest of the time cleaning out blood clots.
The fluid had been blood which then clotted so didn't
show up as fluid.  My doctor's told me that there was
at least 2 pints of blood inside of me. No wonder I
was anemic and in pain!
I finally got to come home today. They've been getting
me back on the coumadin. It's still low, but my dr knew
I was anxious to go home, although I am totally
exhausted and don't know how soon that I will catch
up with all of my mail.
I have 3 small incissions which is better than one
across my entire body. I also talked to my hemotologist
while in the hospital because I was a little (?) 
nervous about being on the coumadin at the levels I was
since that was the reason that I bled as much as I did
internally.
The protocalls have changed (it's a relatively new
test) so  my blood will not be kept as thin. (sigh
of relief!)
Anyway, that's why I've been off-line. I'll catch up
when I can.
