Larry,
    Yes, the steel ring was there. The delrin? part of the seat seemed much
shallower than the old seat and the id seemed to be larger. I don't have any
neat toys like say an inside micrometer but I'll test it cave man style with
the non business end of drill bits to see if it's just an illusion.
