Hello All! Got my "Free" copy of Solaris 7 today!!! Media cost w/shipping $18.83 As soon as I find a machine to install it on.. I'll offer some comments. In the meantime... can anybody provide any thoughts on the feasibility of installing FreeBSD on a 486SX/33 notebook w 200MB hard drive & 12MB RAM? I have a friend who installed Red Hat on a similarly configured notebook, and I do have the Red Hat available as well if it comes to that. The bad news is that the notebook has no CDROM and no connectivity (though it does have a serial port that would support an external modem). Does FreeBSD, or RedHat offer provisions for building a floppy install set? ---* Origin: lawrence{at}tcrs.org | The Enchanted Forest, Houston, Tx (1:106/6018) SEEN-BY: 396/1 632/0 371 633/260 267 270 284 371 634/397 635/444 506 725 728 SEEN-BY: 639/252 @PATH: 106/6018 8277 270/101 396/1 633/260 635/506 728 633/267 |
