I was digging though the Forbidden Closet and came across my Silly Wizard
tapes, and my (old) Clannad... boy oh boy, how could that not be in the
rack!? Well, it's not on cd for one, but still! So then of course I had to
dig out the Andy Stewart/Manus Lunny, which was right on top of the ....
well, you get the idea

The media likes to make it out that there was never anything to the dot
coms, that it was alll smoke and mirrors, but imo the venture capitalists
had much to do with the hype *and* the following destruction -- including
the destruction of those dotcoms that *could* have been something had they
only been allowed to grow gradually like any "old economy" business. But
noooo... had to have double-digit profit percentages immediately or they
sucked, and said venture capitalists yanked their funds, or tied their
hands.
