Hi Danny,

A minor correction. (Pinched from AUST_AVTECH)

The term "baud" was originally a unit of telegraph signalling speed,
set at one morse code dot per second. It was proposed at the
International Telegraph Conference of 1927, and named after J.M.E.
Baudot (1845-1903), the French engineer who constructed the first
  successful teleprinter.

BTW a modern modem (2400 bps) and above puts more than one bit on each
baud. The terms are not the same the 2400 BPS modem is 600 Baud.

Some people do use baud when they mean BPS but it is wrong like the
Energiser battery ad on tv what they show is a CELL you need two or more
connected to get a battery.

Regards, Malcolm.
