Boot the DVD to RAM Drop to root and emply "shred" everything on the drive. zero it too if you like. dd if=/dev/zero of=dev/hda, hdb, sda, whatever the drive or drives identify as. Painless all in one solution. Should you not like it? Just don't install it to the hard drive. Picked up absolutely everhything on an Emachine T2984 I'd just refurbished and even detected and hooked up the network ethernet card to the internet. firewall install mentioned in the applications index however not having noticed this feature until after the fact I'd manually installed mine. ...
