-=> Quoting Leonard Erickson to Bruce Clark <=- LE> Is that the "PC GEOS"? If so,, I wouldn't mind a copy. BC> Correct. BC> It came with the 286 laptop I started with, then was upgraded BC> to Ensemble, and patched to 2.01. BC> I'd have to find the disks again (I spotted them a few days ago), BC> and make DISKCOPYs of them. BC> I don't remember if they were 1.4MB or 720KB 3.5" floppies. LE> If they are 720k floppies, I've got a small program you can use to LE> covert each disk into a file you could email me. :-) I have a shareware program that can convert 720k or 1.4meg floppies into a file, but I would still have a problem since GEOS was a commercial program. BBSNETS frowns on transferring commercial programs and I don't want to lose my access. That leaves me with doing an old fashioned snailmail transfer. My JUNO email doesn't allow file attaches, and the max message size is 60k, otherwise I could split it into multiple UUencodes. Actually we should be discussing this in email, even though GEOS is only a specialty program now. -------------- I finally found all of the original disks: 5 720k GeoWorks Quick Start 7 720k GeoWorks Ensemble 2.0 2 1.4meg GeoWorks Ensemble 2.1 patch files The patch files will fit on 4 720k disks. They were downloaded from the GEOS BBS in 1995 aprox 9 months after the patch was made.
