Any oppression > I experience is my own laziness! > > emily, mrs. brett, insouciant grunion > LOL! You go, girl! Personally, the whole point of feminism to me (personally) is that the woman be free to do as she pleases -- regardless of what a man, or some other woman thinks of it. Trading one form of opression (male) for another (some of the more radical feminism) isn't really an advancement. I'm not a "wimmin", I haven't been given a "slave" name because my last name is my father's (and hey -- who said he had any choice?! It got handed down to him too) and should I marry, I don't consider the ring a receipt for my purchase, or taking his name a symbol of my servitude. Some ppl need to get a grip, and if anyone is actually giving you flak for it -- I'll hold em down while you give them the well earned punch in the nose :) Besides, I can't very well get off on radical feminism and then insist the man take out the trash and kill the bugs (clearly their duty) :) --- Rachel's Little NET2FIDO Gate v 0.9.9.8 Alpha* Origin: Rachel's Experimental Echo Gate (1:135/907.17) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 135/907 123/500 106/2000 633/267 |
