subject: Get to bash shell from Gnome?

From: Randall Parker

Aside: The other day I met the original creator of bash, Brian Fox. He
lives in the town I live in and I am collaborating a bit with a guy who
works for him.

Anyway, I have Linux Fedora 5 with Gnome desktop installed. I can't find a
way to tell Gnome to spawn a bash shell. Am I missing something obvious?

Also, is there a way to set up different icons for starting bash shells
where each one would be configured to start in a different subdirectory? I
want my initial one to spawn in my home dir. But I'd like to add others
that start at other places.
