I would highly recommend Linux, and I think you know that after I snuck at 
least two distros to him already. LOL! 

It would be nice if someone made a BW reader for Linux. And a BW door and BBS
system. Would work quite reliably, I would say.

As for me, I'm still using Win98SE and BW 2.30 (DOS) for the BBS stuff, since
I'm kinda busy with things I need windows for. I never had problems with the
mouse stuff. In fact I've relied on it to a fault to the point keyboard
shortcuts confuse *me*. LOL!

I think there's the specs to the BW packet on the 'net somehwere. I'm sure
some clever soul could program a reader in C/C++ and ncurses. GZip I believe
will unzip pkzip packets.

(Don't look at me... too many irons in the fire to go programming in Linux
right now. LOL! Just throwing around some ideas..)
