Trust me, most built-in mic jacks suck.  If you're singing when you're
playing, something has to lose out.  Sometimes it's both inputs.

Chorus is basically a very light amount of delay with a very, very short
timespan.  Set up a delay for 40-30ms, and you'll have chorus.  Set it for
something beyond that, and you'll have from a short slapback to a "cave echo"
type delay.
