subject: Determining a user`s mail directory

I found that one out, using CT III: the default mail directory that NetWare
assigns looks like:
   'sys:mail/' + remleft( nnetuserid( cUsername ), '0' )
It's not fully airtight, but it works OK for me.
Next problem: every 2 minutes or so I want to check if a file (*.CNM, Pegasus
Mail new mail file) exists in that mail directory.
I'd like to check this in a timer hook, and we're already using a timer-based
function showtime() (from CT III), but I don't know how to attach this check
to
the same hook. I know that there are some very nice libraries around that
would
do very well, but we haven't tested them yet, and they seem like overkill for
just this purpose.
What I need is this: 1 simple timer routine that executes a user defined
function every x seconds.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Erik
