    The following activities in New York are operated by various 
organizations, including astronomy clubs. A couple extra activities of 
special importance to City astronomers may be included. 
    The activities here are almost all within New York City. For a 
more regional slate of astro events, check the calendar section in the 
NYSkies Yahoo group. How to join NYSkies is explained in the yadda-
yadda below.

               anniversary of DNA discovery. Free

               Camelot Exhibition Center. Show and fair of paper, maps, 
               tickets, posters. $10 adm. 

Mon -  3 Mar - 19:30 - Hayden Plm - MH - lecture & starviewing 
               Plm lecture at 19:30, clearsky starviewing 
               on Terrace at 21:00. $12 adm. 

Tue -  4 Mar - 17:30 - Sci Ind Biz Liby - MH - science cinema 
               'I am become death' about the Manhattan Project to 
               build the atombomb. Free 

Tue -  4 Mar - 18:30 - AAA-HQ - MH - Physical Astronomy Class 
               Course in physics and mechanics of astronomy, with
               some algebra. Instructors Stew Rorer and John 
               Pazmino. 

Fri -  7 Mar - 18:00 - Amer Mus Natl Hist - MH - AAA lecture 
               Dr Patrick Huggins, New York University
               'Origin of globules in planetary nebulae' 
               Enter thru 77th St gate, ask guard for
               'astronomy' lecture, admission is free. 

Fri -  7 Mar - 19:00 - Columbia Univ - MH - Observatory viewing 
               Pupin Hall, 14th Floor. Clearsky viewing from 
               both domes on rooftop. Check with

Sat -  8 Mar - 12:45 - AAA-HQ - MH - Observing Group Meeting 
               General membership gathering for briefings on 
               upcoming celestial events, project work, show & 
               tell, instructional talks and demos.

               32 Waverly Pl, follow lobby signs to room. Dr Edward 
               Belbruno, Princeton University discusses future for
