Dear George,
Thanks for the update on FRONTLINE. Unfortunately I don't get the station 
it will be appearing on, but I thought you might like the following 
information.
I have a cousin that is a neuro-psychologist at John Hopkins Medical Center 
in Baltimore, Maryland. In discussing our case with him, he gave me some
professional insights into repressed memories and multiple personality
disorder. He states that:
 Harvard Medical Center (and I believe John Hopkins as well) have done
 extensive studies into repressed memories and multiple personality 
 disorders. What they determined was that in both situations, the memories
 or other personalities have only been uncovered "during" therapy and
 there was no indication that these conditions existed PRIOR to therapy.
 Of course, they did not study EVERY case that has ever been reported, 
 but the concensis is that these conditions are created in the minds of
 the people seeking help, and that since these conditions were not evident
 before therapy, then these manifested conditions are the result of the
 therapy they received. 
If anyone is interested in obtaining the report(s) from Harvard, you can 
probably get it by calling them and asking for them. If someone should 
need these reports and can't get them from Harvard or John Hopkins, please 
let me know and I'll see if my cousin can get them for you. I'm not sure
when these studies were done, but I'm pretty sure it has been within the
last 5 years (certainly no longer than 10 years ago at the latest).
