TG>BUT, I get the impression that the Windows version has MORE features and
TG>better looks.
TG>HELP!, I would like your opinion(s).
Well, both have RIP and both send and receive faxes. Dos allows for
external protocols, Windows doesn't. Windows has a fax manager, Dos
doesn't. System groups set up in Dos remain intact, Windows doesn't.
Windows merges multiple phone directories and allows for copying between
them, Dos doesn't. Dos highlights systems with mail either coming in or
going out, Windows doesn't. Windows allows for macro keys to send handle
and password, Dos doesn't.
I could go on. I run windows, so I've accepted the Windows version and
am making the best of it. I should point out that I tried Telix for
Windows and it kept causing general protection errors, so I feel that
Qmodem for Windows is the best I've came across for windows.
I miss the feature of having the systems with mail to go being marked
since posting messages has become the main reason I call systems. I have
all the programs I need.
I thing that if you mainly run Dos, I would go with the Dos version. It
comes with OLX. Windows doesn't.
I hope that helps a little.
