                 JOB OPPORTUNITY AT BEYOND SIGHT
     Beyond Sight, a super store for the blind and visually
impaired, is looking for a highly motivated and hard working
technical support specialist.
     Beyond Sight is a store that sells everything that a blind
person needs, from a cane to a fully loaded fully adapted
computer.
     Duties:
1.   Installing peripherals and software on computers intended
     for customers and making sure that the different components
     work flawlessly together.
2.   Supporting a variety of screen readers, braille displays,
     and other adaptive products over the phone, by fax, by
     Email, and or via snail mail.
3.   Conducting training on a variety of dos, OS/2, Windows and
     Windows 95 packages and programs.
4.   Learning and evaluating new products as they come on the
     market in order to assess their usability and benefit to a
     blind person.
5.   Participating in various Fidonet and Internet discussion
     lists to keep up to date on the latest in trends and
     technology on the market.
6.   Overseeing the development of a web page which will serve to
     advertize the store and its mission world wide.
     Qualifications:
1.   A good command and excellent understanding of MS-DOS and MS-
     windows 3.1.  Knowledge of Windows 95 and OS/2 is a plus.
2.   A working knowledge of computer hardware, and the ability to
     resolve system conflicts, which includes software and
     hardware conflicts.
3.   A working knowledge of HTML.
4.   A working knowledge of communications, including how to use
     the Internet and Fidonet.
5.   The ability to diagnose and troubleshoot computers remotely
     over the phone.
6.   The ability to stay calm and personable even during
     stressful situations.
7.   The ability to quickly learn new products.
8.   The ability to handle stress.
