You have an X2 client modem.  The 56k only works when the other end is 
an X2 server.  No analog (conventional voice) telephone line can have an 
X2 server attached to it.  Therefore, you cannot simply call Frank's BBS 
and get 56k.  Frank or you would need to have an ISDN line with a 
Courier I-Modem for that to happen.
