Progress notes in log:
As yet unable to connect at faster than 28.8 /V.42 with this BBS
Last night, however, I connected at 33.6K with my internet service provider
>. Don't know what modem they use,
although I suspect they also use a USR. It may have something to do with
line quality and/or demand on telephone lines (forgive me, I'm not a tech),
and it was 11.30pm when I logged onto the internet as opposed to 5.30pm on
this BBS connect. This is about as much as I can contribute to the comments
on the el-cheapo KTX 33.6 fax/modems like the one bought and use now.
