I too have a problem  I am running the 1.4-rc1 version, or trying to, under 
win98SE. I am getting errors due to DLL problems.  I have fidoconfig 1.4-rc1 
as well, but if I use the smapi 1.4-rc1 there is no smapimvc.dll included, and 
using ver 2.50 will not work.  nor will an earlier version of the dll.  I get 
the following error.

The FCONFMVC.DLL is linked to missing SMAPIMVC.DLL:GenMsgld.


I have left the dll files in their respective directories as I received them.  
I have tried putting them into the Windows directory with the same result.  
Anybody got over that error?  Best I can figure is that the GenMsgld module is 
not found in that library.
