Rick,

A 6-point cell is more than good enough for this mirror. See:
http://pong.telerama.com/~mdholm/atm/cells/index.html

The Plop optimized 9-point cells tend to have rather narrow triangles.
This can make it somewhat difficult to locate the central pivot point with
hte needed degree of accuracy.

A 6-point is made essentialy the same as a nine point except you use bars
with two mirror support points instead of triangles with three support
points.

There is an entry in the 6-point cell section of the web page (Plate Glass
section) for a 10"x0.875" f6 with 1.83" diagonal. Your
diagonal is slightly larger, but that doesn't affect the design enough to
worry about. Just use the dimensions listed.

Don't be put off by the fact that the 6-point cell doesn't appear in the
atm books. The books are a bit out of date. Plop came on the scene after
all of the books were written, and it shown the way to designs that were
not considered before.
