Yes, most of the surplus electronic places are great places to look for
abandoned projects, parts, etc.. Unfortunately Ham-nuts seem to be a greying
group. Students would be surprized to learn about ham radio connections,
packet radio, radio BBS systems, etc. I hope to raise enough money to
purchase a kit and set my class up for packet communications. We will just
have to see though.
