   If you won't be moving the Linux box from network to network, it may be
easier to just give it a fixed IP outside the DHCP range.  But in terms of
SAMBA, it uses the netbios name you assign to the SAMBA server, so a fixed
IP will make no difference unless you need to connect by IP instead of
netbios name.
