Hi Jerry
 A while back Richard Schwartz did some experiments with
supporting the mirror by gluing to the pins of the mount ( experiments run
on a computer ). The results were not all that bad, especially looking at
Nils Olof's results. I suspect from the plots he had that this is a better
method than a sling. If you have the six point ring, it is most likely even
better.
