2.x is very old.  I ran 2.2.8-REL on a 486DX2/66/12Mb/1Gb as a
firewall/gateway for about 3 years ...

... these days I run 4.5-REL on a P133/32Mb/1Gb system.  It runs sshd,
apache-php, cucipop, fetchmail & binkd among other things, and does
Network Address Translation (NAT) for my LAN.  Very useful.  :-)
